EVANSVILLE, IN (WAVE) - Talks of a new interstate corridor are scheduled to become a reality.
A major portion of the new I-69 in southwestern Indiana will open.
Drivers will now be able to drive from I-64 in Evansville to U.S. 231 near Crane.
Governor Mitch Daniels will lead a ceremonial parade on Monday and the road will open to regular traffic by 6 p.m.
Plans for the interstate to expand to Indianapolis are now in the works.
