TILTON, KY (WAVE) – A body found in a quarry has been identified as a 15-year-old who went missing while hunting with his father.

According to Kentucky State Police, a helicopter discovered the body of Ricky Dean Hamilton Jr., 15, around 1 p.m. Tuesday in a rock quarry.

Ricky went missing Saturday after failing to meet back up with his father at a designated area while hunting.

His cause of death has been deemed accidental, but is still under investigation.

KSP said it appears he fell from a cliff and into the quarry, which is located about a quarter mile from where he lived.

Volunteers who assisted with the search have been sent home.

Funeral arrangements are pending.
