Little girl battling cancer becomes princess for a day

LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) - A little girl battling terminal bone cancer treated to a very special day.

Despite the discouraging prognosis, friends and family came together Tuesday to celebrate Miley, 5.

A limo picked up Miley and her sister from Kosair Children's Hospital and took them to ‘Z' Salon for pampering a primping before heading to Nulu Studio for a photo shoot

The theme for the shoot was an early Christmas celebration where MIley and her sister got to sit around a tree and open presents.

The celebration started after a makeup artist, April Gresham, was asked by a friend to look at the ‘Prayers for Miley' facebook page.  

Gresham said she saw photos of Miley dressed as a princess and knew she had to help do something for her. After a several phone calls Tuesday's celebration of Miley was possible.

Miley's family received a book of the photos shoot on Tuesday.
