More than 600 people enjoyed a traditional Thanksgiving lunch at West Louisville Youth Space.
LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) - While many people spent Thanksgiving at home or elsewhere with family, others were not as fortunate.
Through the kindness of the community, those going through tough times at least got a hot meal.
More than 600 people enjoyed a traditional Thanksgiving lunch at West Louisville Youth Space where Republic Bank organized volunteers to serve those in the food line.
"There's a lot of people that are less fortunate than we are and I find that the community of Louisville is always willing to give back. It warms your heart," Republic Bank President Scott Trager said.
It's the second year Republic Bank took a major role in the lunch served from 11 a.m. - 2 p.m in the Russell neighborhood.
Neighbors also had a chance to sort through a free clothes closet to see if anything fit and suits their style.
