Suspects in major drug bust appear in court

The four suspects appeared in court on Friday.

LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) – Four people arrested in a drug bust with ties to a Mexican drug cartel appeared in court.

Two houses were raided in Highview on Wednesday after an 8-month investigation where police found more than 2,400 pounds of marijuana and over $1 million in cash.

Horacis Magana, 22, Maritzein Rangel, 20, Evelia Macias-Farias, 39, and Elias Vazquez-Garcia, 40, were all arrested.

All four suspects are being held on a $10,000 bond. They are due back in court December 4.
