Troop holding dinner to replace stolen goods

LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) - Thousands of dollars worth of scouting gear was stolen from a church.

The weekend of October 13, a trailer belonging to Boy Scout Troop 40 was stolen from the parking lot of St. Paul United Methodist Church. The trailer contained camping equipment the Troop had accumulated over several years including items such as camp stoves, lanterns and tables.

The overall the cost to replace everything exceeds $12,000.

If you would like to help the troop they will be holding a spaghetti dinner to raise funds to replace the stolen items. The dinner will be held on Friday November 30 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.

Donations will be accepted during the dinner.
