(Louisville, KY) - Mike Hartnett
Saturday's card at Churchill Downs featured all 2-year-old races and included a pair of stakes events.
The Golden Rod Stakes for fillies was captured by 31 to 1 longshot, Seaneen Girl. She won by a half-length over favored Gal About Town.
Seaneen Girl, who returned $64, was ridden by Miguel Mena and is trained by Bernie Flint.
The Kentucky Jockey Club Stakes was highlighted by a thrilling stretch drive between Uncaptured and Frac Daddy. Uncaptured, with Mena in the saddle, held off Frac Daddy by a neck to take it.
The winner, who is trained by Mark Casse, improved his record to six victories in seven starts. Uncaptured paid $5.60. Dewey Square came with a late charge to run third.
