Man accused of sexually abusing child

NEW ALBANY, IN (WAVE) – A man has been accused of the sexual abuse of a child.

According to court documents, police said George Allen assaulted a 13-year-old over the course of 18 months.

Police said Allen and the victim knew each other and the victim reported the abuse to a school resource officer.

Allen is charged with child molestation and vicarious sexual gratification.

He is being held in the Floyd County Jail without bond.
