LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) – The Jefferson County School Board made a decision on whether to ban tobacco.
Monday night, the board voted 7-0 in favor of making all JCPS campuses tobacco free.
Principals will be in charge of enforcing the tobacco free policy, which will take place at the beginning of the 2013- 2014 school year.
Ben Jackey, a JCPS spokesperson, said the ban will be campus-wide and there will be not be designated smoking areas set up for school employees.
