Suspect charged with murder of man missing three years

SCOTTSBURG, IN (WAVE) – The person accused of killing a southern Indiana man three years ago has been formally charged with murder. 

Robert Riley, 39, has been charged with murder, robbery, removing a body from the scene and obstruction of justice in death of Paul Graupe.

Riley was arrested last week by the Scott County Sheriff's Office for failure to pay child support. Then officers say they found the Graupe's body of in a rundown duplex behind Riley's home.

Graupe, 50, was headed to see Riley when he disappeared on November 24, 2009. Scott County Sheriff Dan McClain said Riley told them he stabbed Graupe in the back.
