Police: Man shot during home invasion

LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) – A man survived after police said he was shot while trying to rob a home in the Parkland neighborhood.

Officers were called to the home near 28th Street and Greenwood Avenue around 11 p.m. Thursday on a report of a shooting.

When police arrived, they found a man had been shot. The man was rushed to University Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Police said a person who lives in the home shot the man after he broke in.

The home owners are not facing any charges.
