UPS, FedEx to raise shipping rates

LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) - Shipping will cost you more money in the new year.

UPS and FedEx have announced their shipping rates are increasing for 2013.

Two weeks ago, UPS revealed a 4.9 percent increase on its 2013 shipping charges.

FedEx matched their rival, and said their 4.9 percent average rate will begin in January.
