Man charged with rape, kidnapping takes plea deal

LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) - A man charged for three cold case rapes has taken a plea deal.

Curtis Boyd was arrested in 2011 and charged with 15 counts of rape, sex abuse and kidnapping for rapes from 1994, 1997 and 1998.

Monday Boyd took a plea, accepting a 33-year prison sentence.

His formal sentencing is set for January 24.
