FRANKLIN COUNTY, KY (WAVE) - A man's driving led police to a drug bust.

A Franklin County Deputy discovered a pot operation that included an expensive florescent lighting system, chemicals, indoor irrigation system, a ventilation system and marijuana.

Deputies said they were led to the operation by the man they said is responsible for growing the weed, Kevin Barnett, 38.

A reckless driving complaint led a deputy to his home on Creekside Lane.

Franklin County Sheriff Pat Melton, "He thought I'm gonna walk around back and check and as soon as he walked around back here comes a guy out the back door soon as the door open the smell of marijuana almost knocked him down."

The sheriff said the bust was about a $100,000 a year growing operation.
