KY transportation officials hold meeting on changes to Daviess Co. road

Posted: Updated:
EVANSVILLE, IN (WFIE) -

Tuesday night, Kentucky Transportation officials are holding a meeting to lay out some changes that could be coming to a Daviess County road.

The meeting will be held at East View Elementary School in D0aviess County on Highway 405 and is scheduled to last from 5-7 p.m.

The meeting is aimed at looking at realigning a section of KY-144 near Pleasant Valley Road.

The main reason for the work is to improve safety along that road, which has lots of potentially dangerous curves if you live or drive in the area.

At the meeting, officials will display exhibits that outline the preliminary design of the project.

It's going to be a pretty informal setting, residents will have the opportunity to take a look at these exhibits and ask questions about how this could impact them.

Anyone who attends is invited to make written and oral comments at the meeting about the reconstruction.

Written statements will also be accepted for about two weeks after the meeting.

If you aren't able to attend and want to see the displays, they'll be at the Kentucky Department of Highways District 2 Office in Madisonville.
