LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) – A woman was hit and killed by a car driven by her sister Tuesday afternoon, according to the Louisville Metro Police Department.
LMPD spokesperson Alicia Smiley said the driver had just dropped off her sister for a medical appointment at 5120 Dixie Highway. The driver backed up in the parking lot and hit her sister, not realizing the woman was behind the car.
The victim, a woman in her sixties, was rushed to University of Louisville Hospital where she died.
The accident happened at 2:19 Tuesday afternoon.
Police said charges were not expected to be filed.
