LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) – A bus loaded with students headed for a Jefferson County elementary school was hit Wednesday morning in a crash and the vehicle that caused the accident left the scene.
According to a spokesperson for the Jefferson County Public Schools, bus 9347 was carrying 53 students when it was hit at Broadway and Jackson Street at 8:52 a.m.
No one on the bus, which was bound for Lincoln Elementary Performing Arts School, was injured.
According to JCPS, the wreck happened with a black Ford F-150 hit a Honda Civic, pushing it into the bus. The pickup truck left the scene.
