Sports Illustrated: Strong staying with UofL

LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) - Charlie Strong is staying on as the Louisville Cardinals' head football coach, having declined contract offer from Tennessee, according to a report on si.com, the website for Sports Illustrated. The article says Strong pondered the decision "for a few hours."

The article also says the University of Louisville and Strong are finalizing a long-term extension that is "a significant commitment in both years and dollars." The report says the deal could be announced on Thursday.
