LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) - Pleasure Ridge Park High School is growing and expanding their performing arts programs.
Construction on a new Performing Arts Center began in October. Thursday, JCPS superintendent Dr. Donna Hargens joined PRP Panthers of the past and present, including WAVE 3's Dawne Gee, to celebrate the big addition.
The new facility will house choir, theater, band, and everything in between.
"It will be state of the art facility second to none in this part of Jefferson County, probably in the state," said David Johnson, principal of PRP. "It will allow for students to enhance their instruction and for students to show their talents."
The facility will be open September 2013.
