Teen hit by car near Klondike Elementary School

LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) – A teenager was hit by a car near Klondike Lane Elementary School Thursday afternoon, according to a MetroSafe dispatcher. The teen's injuries were not considered life threatening.

Investigators said the incident was reported around 3:45 p.m. on Klondike Lane near Mid Dale Lane.

The teenager was treated by EMS on the scene and taken to Kosair Children's Hospital to be checked out.

It was raining at the time of the accident, but investigators were not sure if weather conditions played a role in the incident. The investigation is ongoing. Charges were not expected to be filed against the driver who hit the teen.
