KY teen killed in crash with log truck

The deadly crash happened on Kentucky 121 North in Graves County.

This is the log truck that crashed into the car.

The force of impact caused the airbags to deploy.

GRAVES COUNTY, KY (WAVE) - A Graves County High School junior was killed Thursday morning in a crash involving a log truck.

Police said the accident happened just after 7:30 a.m. on Kentucky 121 North when the car Kim Fortner, 17, was driving pulled into the path of the oncoming log truck.

Fortner died at a hospital. Her passenger, freshman Julia Fortner, 14, was listed as stable Thursday night.

The driver of the log truck, Joe Thompson, was not injured.
