Man charged with exploiting elderly mother

LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) – A man who was supposed to be caring for his elderly mother has been arrested on charges that he took advantage of her, according to Louisville Metro Police.

Investigators said Eric Wilson stole money he was given to pay his mother's rent and utilities.

An arrest report states the gas and electric bills were not paid for eight months and the utilities eventually were shut off. Wilson's mother also was forced from her home.

Wilson is charged with exploitation.
