Former fire captain arrested on child porn charges out of jail

LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) – A former Pleasure Ridge Park Fire Department captain charged with possessing child pornography has bonded out of jail.

James Mason, 40, quit his job after he learned police were investigating him.

Police said Mason tried to destroy evidence of the child porn found on his computer.

Mason is charged with three counts of possession of matter portraying a sexual performance by a minor and tampering with evidence.
