Pain clinic ordered to shut down

The Clark County Wellness Center was ordered to shut down on Friday.

JEFFERSONVILLE, KY (WAVE) – The city of Jeffersonville ordered a controversial pain clinic to shut down on Friday.

The order came one day after a state board suspended the license of the pain click's doctor, Lea Marlow.

Marlow's license was suspended until the Indiana Medical Licensing Board's January 24 meeting.

Marlow runs the Clark County Wellness Center.

The attorney general's office said Marlow wrote 8,000 prescriptions this year. 95 percent of them were for oxycodone. The AG's office also said Marlow accepts only cash, not insurance or Medicare payments.
