CAMPBELLSVILLE, KY (WAVE) – Six fire departments battled an early morning fire Saturday at a tire store in Campbellsville. The building was destroyed.

Campbellsville Fire and Rescue and five other area fire departments battled an early morning blaze at Taylor County Tire Sales in Campbellsville. The building is a total loss.

According to Ronnie Dooley, spokesperson for Campbellsville Fire and Rescue, 911 dispatchers received a call about the fire at Taylor County Tire Sales around 6:25 a.m. Saturday. By the time fire crews arrived, the back of the building was fully engulfed.

Fire departments assisting Campbellsville included, Green County, Marion County, Somerville, Adair County and Taylor County.

Dooley said the fire left a few neighbors without electricity. No injuries were reported. 

The cause of the fire is under investigation.

Taylor County Tire Sales, located at 127 S. Columbia Avenue, has been family-owned since 1963.
