The victim crashed his car in front of Lincoln Elementary School after he was shot.
LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) - A man was shot while driving early Sunday morning
after leaving a Louisville nightclub and crashed the car in front of a school, according
to Louisville Metro Police.
Community activist Christopher 2X said the 29-year-old victim had been at
The View nightclub on Story Avenue when an ongoing dispute with a group escalated,
apparently over a song. 2X said the disagreement started two weeks earlier and
had escalated on Facebook.
When the man left the club's parking lot going west on Main Street, he was
shot by someone in another vehicle.
After the shooting, he crashed his car in front of Lincoln Elementary School
on Main Street. He was transported by EMS to University Hospital where he was
listed in serious condition Sunday night.
According to 2X, the victim lost a great deal of blood and was expected to
undergo a second surgery as soon as he is stable. 2X said the man was shot in
the lower abdomen and some of his internal organs were damaged.
So far, no one is under arrest.
