LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) – A new prosecutor will be appointed to Gregory O'Bryan's murder case.

O'Bryan is charged with killing Sullivan University student Andrew Compton during sex in October 2010 and dumping his body. Compton's body has never been found.

The new Commonwealth Attorney Tom Wine is expected to appoint a new prosecutor when Wine takes office in January.

O'Bryan was offered a plea deal in November but he has not accepted it. His trial is scheduled to begin in July.
