CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19) -
On Monday, Cincinnati authorities said they're tired of finding parking meters beheaded.
More than 175 meter tops have been taken since June. Most of the thefts have occurred in Over-the-Rhine, according to police.
It costs the city $35 to replace each dome on the meter.
Cincinnati PD said they're puzzled by the missing meter tops and question what the motivation would be to take them.
On average, each meter collects around $3.50 per day.
However, the coins aren't accessible by removing the domes on the meters.
