DAVIESS CO., KY (WFIE) -
A Daviess County road has been reopened after a semi and a train collided on Wednesday night around 8:00 p.m.
Kentucky transportation officials say the accident is no longer blocking part of U.S. 60.
Officials say a semi carrying a large load of spaghetti sauce was turning around at the intersection of Griffith Station Road and French Island Road, near Owensboro, when the trailer became stuck over the tracks.
A train that was carrying a shipment of automobiles collided with the semi. Officials say the semi driver was able to jump out to safety.
Authorities say there is no reason to believe that alcohol is a factor. There were no injuries.
Both the Daviess County Fire Department and Sheriff's Office responded.
