The shooting happened outside Doll House Gentlemen's Club on South Seventh Street.
Police gathered in the parking lot of the club where the victim's body was found.
The LMPD Forensic Crime Scene Unit was on the scene of the homicide.
LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) – Shively Police have arrested a suspect in connection with the murder of a man outside a strip club early Thursday morning.
Tony E. Whitfield, 29, of Louisville was still on the scene of the shooting outside Doll House Gentlemen's Club in the 3600 block of South Seventh Street when officers arrived, according to a Shively Police Department press release. Whitfield was arrested and charged with one count of murder.
The victim was pronounced dead on the scene. His name has not yet been released. An autopsy was being performed Thursday morning.
Police said the investigation was ongoing.
