LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) – An elderly couple was assaulted and police are searching for two men they say are responsible.

Louisville Metro police released composite drawings of the suspects.

According to police, in November, the couple was entering their home on Algonquin Parkway after leaving church when the suspects forced the couple to the ground at gunpoint, then stole their cash and prescription pills.

Detective Ryan Scanlin, who is investigating the case, said the men were ruthless, "They were inside the home. One of the individuals displayed a handgun and forced the victims to the ground the second assailant grabbed a large butcher knife and held them to the ground."
