SHEPHERDSVILLE, KY (WAVE) – A Bullitt County constable has been arrested for drug trafficking, according to Mike Murdoch of the Bullitt County Sheriff's office.

According to the Bullitt County Sheriff's Office, Constable Cliff Hudson is accused of selling prescription pain pills. He took office in 2011 for the Mt. Washington area.

After numerous complaints from the public investigators kept an eye on Hudson for more than a year.

On Friday night, the sheriff's office was able to perform a controlled buy and purchase 10 Percocet pain pills from Hudson. He was later arrested in a traffic stop.

The sheriff's office obtained a search warrant where they uncovered drug paraphernalia, numerous pills, marijuana, and a ledger detailing who owed him money.
