BARDSTOWN, KY
(WAVE) – A man was arrested after he was accused of taking advantage of others, according to Bardstown
police.
Thursday
morning, officers were called to the 31 Bar and Grill on a report of a man
selling jewelry out of a car.
When officers
arrived they found Jaques Mitchell who had a large bag of gold jewelry.
Officers said
some of the items in the bag were priced as high as $7,000.
According to a
local jeweler working with police the total amount the jewelry was worth was around
$20,000.
Mitchell is
charged with attempted theft by deception.
