LOUISVILLE, KY
(WAVE) - The search for a man who assaulted a woman in her 80s in a mall
parking lot has ended.
According to
police, Christopher Helm stopped a woman at Jefferson Mall in November and
asked her for a ride.
When the woman
said no, police said Helm shoved her to the ground, grabbed her purse and took
off in a car that had been waiting for him.
Helm and his
driver then went to the Shell gas station located at Outer Loop and Preston
Highway and used the woman's credit card.
Helm is charged
with robbery and fraud in the case.
He was also
involved in a separate case in Shively.
According to
police, Helm was arrested in connection to a break-in and assault on Crums
Lane.
Officers said he
broke into the home and when he was confronted by the homeowner he hit him on
the head with a skillet.
