Student in critical condition after jumping from window

BOWLING GREEN, KY (WAVE) - A Western Kentucky University student is in critical condition after police said he jumped from a dorm window.

According to campus police, the 19-year-old student jumped from a sixth floor window at Pierce Ford Tower, a co-ed dorm with 27 floors.

When emergency crews arrived the teenager was breathing.

He was flown to Vanderbilt Hospital in Nashville.

Students said they heard glass break, then saw the body on the ground.

Campus police are investigating his fall, but said no evidence of alcohol or drugs were found during the initial police search of the room.

This is not the first time a situation like this has happened at PFT, in November 2006, Louisville freshman Dylan Prott was found dead after he reportedly jumped from his window on the 20th floor of dorm.
