LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) - An arrest has been in the case of a woman who was shot and killed in the middle of the afternoon.

In November 2011, Angela White, 40, was shot and killed on South 41st Street, near Garland Avenue.

On Sunday night police arrested Dominique Grier and charged him with White's murder.

Police are crediting the arrest to the VIPER Unit.

Louisville Metro Police Department Lt. Barry Wilkerson explained, "Obviously in any case, we're looking at what's best for the community. In this case, we took another violent offender off the streets. I think again it shows the partnership we have internally with our VIPER Unit who made the arrest last night."

Regina White is also charged with murder and robbery in the case. Police said Regina and Angela have no biological relation.
