LOUISVILLE, Ky. - The University of Louisville football team enjoyed one of its finest seasons on the field, but also saw tremendous success off it, as nine of its current players and three other football attended graduation ceremonies on Friday.
After a 10-2 season this year, head coach Charlie Strong attended graduation ceremonies to see current and former players earn their degrees.
Center Mario Benavides (Marketing), linebacker Daniel Brown (Communications), cornerback Adrian Bushell (Criminal Justice), cornerback Zed Evans (Criminal Justice), defensive tackle Roy Philon (Criminal Justice), wide receiver Andrell Smith (Criminal Justice), safety Hakeem Smith (Sports Administration), cornerback Titus Teague (Commuications) and running back Jeremy Wright (Health and Human Performance/Exercise Science) are all members of the 2012 team who earned degrees.
Josh Bleser, a punter on the 2011 squad, and wide receiver Doug Beaumont, a wide receiver on the 2011 team, also earned their degrees. Both players played under Strong.
