CLARK COUNTY, IN (WAVE) – The Greater Clark County School Board voted not to renew a principal's contract.
Tuesday the board voted 4 in favor, 2 not in favor and 1 abstain not to renew James Sexton's administrative contract.
Dr. Andrew Melin commented on the Board's action stating;
"Although Mr. Sexton and I may have philosophical differences regarding our leadership styles, my recommendation for non-renewal goes beyond these differences. Mr. Sexton's failure to follow directives issued rises to the level of insubordination and he has demonstrated a lack of professional judgment when dealing with some personnel matters."
Sexton will continue as principal at Clark County/Middle High School until the end of the 2012-2013 contract term.
