Police: Woman's grandson chases intruder with gun

LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) - A victim's grandson is credited with the arrest of a suspected home intruder.

According to a police report, Hunter Schaad went to a home on Ash Street in the middle of the night on Tuesday and attempted the steal items.

A woman inside the home woke up and saw Schaad getting in his car and trying to leave.

She woke her grandson who police said grabbed a gun and chased Schaad down the street firing at least two shots.

Police said one of those shots hit Schaad in the back and he tossed a bag with the stolen goods out the window.

Police arrested Schaad at his home.
