LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) – A Shively man has been arrested on drug charges after police say he was selling them from a store near a high school.

According to an arrest report, a tip to Shively Police said that Kelly M. Kidd, 44, was selling drugs from the Sports Center, a store in Valley Station.

The report states that a detective who spent two days there noticed a lot of people were coming into the store, but leaving empty-handed.

Police used a confidential informant to go into the store and make a buy from Kidd. The informant was able to purchase lortab and meth for $5.00 a pill.

Kidd was booked into Louisville Metro Corrections on two counts of trafficking in a controlled substance and two counts of possession of a controlled substance.

Police said a search of the business, located down the street from Valley High School, turned up 60 lortab pills and 16.5 grams of crystal meth.
