Troopers shopped with children Wednesday.
The children were all smiles as they picked out gifts.
ELIZABETHTOWN, KY (WAVE) - Christmas came a little early for 30 children in central Kentucky thanks to Kentucky State Police.
Wednesday, the Elizabethtown State Police post hosted its annual shop with a trooper program.
The troopers spent about $150 on each child and said it is a great way to give back to the community.
The troopers said they really look forward to this event and seeing the smiles on the children's faces is a nice break from the job.
