Deputies say 8-year-old boy lived in house with meth lab
PORTAGE COUNTY, OH (WOIO) -
Sheriffs deputies say a mom had a working meth lab inside the home she shared with her 8-year-old son.
Krimson Cadle, 27, was arrested Wednesday at their home at 2615 SR 59 (Orchard Estates) Lot 45, Ravenna Township.
According to Portage County Sheriff David W. Doak, after receiving information from the Portage County Job and Family Service's of a possible methamphetamine laboratory inside the home, agents of the Portage County Drug Task Force conducted a follow-up investigation to confirm the information provided.
Upon Task Force Agents arrival, they were met by Cadle and her live-in boyfriend Logan W. Lindsay, 23 years old of 2615 SR 59 (Orchard Estates) Lot 45, Ravenna Township, Ohio. According to Portage County Court Records, Cadle has a Court Ordered temporary protection order against her with Lindsay being the protected party. Cadle is ordered by the court to not be in the vicinity of Lindsay until lifted by a Portage County Municipal Judge.
Cadle was then arrested by Task Force Agents and transported to the Portage County Jail. Task Force Agents searched the residence and property locating many components and chemicals used in the manufacture of methamphetamine, and numerous "One Pot" methamphetamine laboratories inside the master bedroom of the residence.
A chemical disposal team was called to the scene to remove all toxic chemicals from the property. Task Force Agents will present this case and additional evidence to the Portage County Prosecutor's Office seeking additional charges.
Cadle is charged with Illegal Manufacture of Methamphetamine a felony of the 1st degree, Possession of Chemicals Used to Manufacture Methamphetamine a felony of the 2nd degree, and Endangering Children, a felony of the 3rd degree and Violating a Temporary Protection Order, a misdemeanor of the 1st degree.
Portage County Drug Task Force is comprised of members from the Portage County Sheriff's Office, Portage County Prosecutor's Office, Cities of Aurora, Ravenna, Kent and Streetsboro, Villages of Garrettsville and Windham, United States Drug Enforcement Administration and United States Department of Homeland Security.
