Two masked men tied up employees at this Rite Aid.
Surveillance video showed the two men inside of the store.
FRANKFORT, KY (WAVE) – Two masked
men walked into a pharmacy, tied up employees and ran off with money, according
to police.
The robbery happened at 11:10 p.m.
on December 21, at the Rite Aid located at 260 Versailles Road.
Surveillance video captured the men
rushing in. One man pulled out a gun instantly while the other man tried to
pull down a metal door that prevents people outside of the store to see in.
The men then bound employees with
zip ties. The men drug one employee by the collar and made them open a safe.
Frankfort Police Major Fred Deaton
explained, "Their potential for violence is at a pretty high level. The
way they conducted themselves in robbing the store, they in fact could
be a threat to the safety of the community."
A media release from the Frankfort
Police Department describes one of the suspects as being 5'10'' tall with a
thin build. He was wearing a green Carhartt jacket, dark pants and had a
camouflage mask covering his face.
The other man is described as being
5'8'' tall and heavyset. He was wearing a tan coat, dark pants and a black mask
at the time of the robbery.
