BATH COUNTY, KY (WAVE) – A mystery
involving a policeman and several horses has been solved.
According to Sergeant
Jim Bowling with Kentucky State Police, on December 25 around 7:30 p.m. he
discovered 22 horses in his front yard.
Bowling said he
contacted several neighboring farmers, but was unable to locate the owners of
the horses, until Thursday night when the owners of the horses came forward and
identified the animals.
The owners said the
horses were able to get loose due to damage sustained in recent storms.
All of the horses were accounted for
and will return to their owners on Friday.
The reason the owners did not report
the missing horses is still unclear.
