Ceremony to be held for murder victims

LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) - Two men, whose lives were cut short due to violence, will be remembered at the high school where they graduated.

Friday, a remembrance ceremony will be held for Dante Newsome, 20, and Charles Fambrough. Newsome was killed from a gunshot wound while on a front porch near 40th and West Market Streets on December 24.

On December 25, Fambrough was shot and killed on Portland Avenue near 24th Street.

Newsome and Fambrough knew each other from basketball games they played at the Academy at Shawnee.

The ceremony will be held at 3:30 p.m. at the Academy at Shawnee.

Police are still searching for suspects in both murders.
