Indiana makes agreement with group to build East End Bridge

INDIANAPOLIS (WAVE) - Indiana has come to an agreement with a construction group to build the East End Bridge.

The state said it will pay WVB East End Partners $763 million to build the span between Utica, Indiana and Prospect, Kentucky.

The Indiana Highway Department said the figure is nearly 25 percent below previous cost estimates.

Construction on the bridge will begin in the summer of 2013 and is expected to be completed in 2016.
