Friends, family remember two shooting victims

LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) – As police continue their search for gunmen in two fatal shootings, friends and family gathered to remember the victims.

Friday, a remembrance ceremony was held at the Academy of Shawnee to remember Dante Newsome and Charles Fambrough who were both graduates of the school.

Newsome was shot and killed on December 24 while on the front porch of a home near 40th and West Market Streets.

Fambrough was shot and killed on December 25 on Portland Avenue near North 24th Street.

Community Activist Christopher 2X said the men knew each other from basketball games they played at the school.
