Crews working to repair water main break

The street is blocked off while crews repair the road.

LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) – A street in downtown Louisville has been blocked off due to a water main break.

Traffic on Magnolia Street, at 7th Street, has been blocked off in both directions.

According to Kelley Dearing Smith with the Louisville Water Company a 20-inch water main broke overnight Monday.

LWC employees said it will take a few days to repair the road.

The road will remain closed during repairs. A detour will be posted.
