Police on the scene of the shooting.JEFFERSONVILLE, IN (WAVE) – A store
clerk was shot during a robbery at a liquor store.
Saturday evening, a clerk was shot three times during an attempted robbery
at Red Carpet Liquors at 8th Street and Crestview Court.
The clerk's co-worker, Barbara Dunn,
had just left work when she received a call about the shooting. She explained, "She heard some guys voice
saying give me all your money. She immediately dropped to the ground, she
dropped to the ground said she was crawling up or how she was trying to get up
to the register."
Dunn quit her job after the robbery.
Police are still searching for the
shooter. He is described as being around 6' tall with a thin to medium build
and a light complexion.
The clerk survived a surgery and is
expected to recover.
