MARANA, AZ (AP) -
Pima County Sheriff's deputies say a suspicious package left in a Marana grocery store after a bank robbery contained no explosive material.
Sheriff's officials say a man robbed a US Bank branch inside a Safeway store about 10:30 a.m. Monday and left behind a suspicious device.
They say note from the robber raised suspicions that the device might contain explosives.
The store was evacuated and a bomb squad was called to the scene.
A robot was used to investigate the package and authorities say it turned out to be a harmless item.
They're still searching for the robber who fled the scene on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash.
